Paul Hersey and Ken Blanchard, the Situational Leadership Model is the
theory of business leadership that promotes the benefits of combining
various managerial styles to cater to different people within the same
organization. This contrasts with the more traditional view of executive managers
who may be using the same tactics of leadership throughout the
organization, more than likely passed down through subordinate
directives and other intermediaries.

by using the strategies set forth in Situational Leadership Model,
potentially manager will have the ability to handle a wide variety of
people and thus create innovative employee-centric and more
organizations through level direct contact he had with members at all
levels. Furthermore, the leader will be free to put more or less emphasis on

allow them to focus on the components most needed to get the task

experience.

Four Situational Leadership Style

This style is used extensively in law enforcement and the military community as well as on manufacturing assembly lines, provides a means of managing a diverse group of people who span a wide range of experience and maturity level.
- Selling information and directions will still be provided by the manger in this leadership style but there are also more two-way communication with subordinates. In this role, the leader of "sell" their message to get employees on board, persuading them to work toward a common goal. A perfect example of the kind of leadership is often found in situations of apprenticeship, with the success of this approach depends on whether the student or apprentice students passionate and self-motivated to be in work.
- Participate With the participation, leaders can focus more on the relationship and less on direction.
